Intermediate Credit Analysis – This program is designed to introduce critical financial and non-financial credit analysis considerations, documentation, monitoring and other important factors central to the review of most major loan types. The program emphasizes ratio analysis, balance sheet and income statement trends, SFAS 95 cash flow analysis and non-financial considerations critical to sound underwriting principles.
Advanced Credit Analysis – Designed for a more experienced audience, this program covers financial statement analysis concepts and SFAS 95 cash flow analysis in more depth, applying UCA cash flow analysis to specific types of loans. Case studies are used extensively to cover underwriting issues, policy guidelines, working capital needs, business risks, collateral valuation, borrowing base financing, and other issues as they pertain to commercial credits.
Cash Flow Analysis – This course is designed for an audience with a working knowledge of cash flow analysis. Through the use of case studies, the participants will learn to construct and analyze the UCA Cash Flow statement and gain a greater understanding of the impact of management decision-making on financial performance. The course will demonstrate how cash flow affects key financial ratios and probability of repayment.
Introductory Loan Review – Designed primarily for credit analysts, loan review personnel and regulatory agency personnel new to the loan review profession, this program covers a wide range of topics including the purpose of loan review, introductory loan review procedures, sources of repayment, credit analysis considerations, loan classification systems, reporting procedures, and collateral evaluation.
Advanced Loan Review – Designed primarily for credit analysts, loan review personnel and regulatory agency personnel with several years of loan review experience, this program covers a wide range of topics including advanced loan review procedures, credit risk management, report writing and communication skills, problem loan management, and the impact of loan review on the allowance for loan and lease losses.
Loan Review for Managers – This program is designed for loan review managers, loan review officers, senior credit analysts, credit administration mangers and senior loan officers. It is designed to cover current events impacting loan review such as staffing levels, performance assessments, efficiencies and training techniques, ALLL, technology and regulatory issues.
Advanced Commercial Lending – This program focuses primarily on the proper structuring and monitoring of credit relationships, including the use of loan agreements and appropriate covenants. It addresses the critical factors influencing credit quality, including financial statement and cash flow analysis, management and industry analysis.
Structuring and Managing the Community Bank Loan Department – This course addresses such key issues as staffing requirements, performance evaluations, training options, delegation of responsibilities, business development ideas, portfolio management practices, loan policy considerations, loan committee structure, documentation and collateral tracking and software benefits and applicability.
Problem Loan Management – This program introduces techniques designed to assist lenders in proactively identifying potential problems in the portfolio. It covers both financial and non-financial problem loan symptoms, and strategies for resolving problem loans – through workout, outplacement or liquidation.
Appraisals Revisited – This program provides attendees with basic appraisal information, including concepts required to review real estate appraisals and methods to determine compliance with appraisal regulations and standards as provided by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (“USPAP”).
